...to Grandmother's house we go! I've always loved that old song... makes me think of Thanksgiving... "Hurray for the pumpkin pie!" The little family travels in a horse drawn sleigh through the snowy woods & across the river to Grandmother's warm & welcoming farmhouse. You can practically smell the turkey roasting!
We've done ours in browns, tans & creams - see the picture with the loose blocks to the right for our colorway. Finished quilt measures 51 1/2"x57 1/2 This is a 9 month block of the month and starts Oct 2008. There is a $25 non refundable start up cost and then $12.95 per month. BUTTERFLIES!
Butterflies is a QP original done in gorgeous batiks! This 81" square appliqué quilt - you can do it by hand or by machine - has 16 different butterflies. There is a $25 non-refundable start up fee and then $19.95 per month. The first 8 months you will receive the patterns & the fabrics for two butterflies per month, the 9th month we will send the sashings & month 10 we will send the outer border & the binding. If we are mailing your block of the month each month within the U.S., shipping will be $3.00 for the first eight months & then actual shipping + $1 for the last two months. EMBROIDERY MACHINE BLOCK OF THE MONTH - WILD!FLOWERS !
Starts Oct 2008. Our block of the month will be done in lighter colors - we are working on our sample. The picture of the whole quilt at right is for information only and not what the QP version will look like -our starting blocks are in the picture below and the fabric shown is our border. Colors in the quilt will be greens, yellows, purples, pinks & some reds.
Wild!flowers is an appliqued and pieced quilt which features 6 flowers native to the Eastern U.S.: Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Purple Coneflower, New England Aster, Canada Lily, Purple Trillium, and Indian Blanket. Instructions are included for Lap, Twin, and Bed sizes, and also Wild!flowers in the Shade, a wallhanging featuring the small size flowers. The CD includes 6 Large and 6 Small designs, and 2 PDF files showing each flower sewn-out and thread charts. Design sizes range from 4" x 4" to 5.5" x 7.5" and are in ART, DST, EXP, HUS, PCS, PES, SHV, and XXX formats.

In the beginning ... we believe there was one more day set aside for the creation of chocolate! Our own little heaven on earth. (Incidentally – we cannot be held responsible for any weight gain mysteriously found during the making of this quilt! However, we feel a warning may be appropriate.)
WARNING: may feel the need to join a local gym after completing this fabulous quilt! (But it is totally worth it!) Chocolate is my FAVORITE food group!
