Beginning Quilting By Machine

Learn to quilt by machine!  Join Debbie as she teaches you how to rotary cut, piece accurately, make your quilt top, machine quilt and bind it!  8 weeks.  Our next class is Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm starting April 11, ending May 30  $80+ pages & supplies. Click here to register






Pillowcase Sew In

Join Francine and the pillowcase gang at QP to sew pillowcases for sick children.  Pillowcases bring color and smiles to a hospital and make it feel a bit more like home.  Bring your machine to sew, or come to help press or cut - all skill levels welcome!  10-3  Sat, May 6th


Free Motion Quilting - Level 1

Drop your feed dogs and GO!  Learn how to free motion six basic shapes but first we'll cover how to set up your machine for free motion quilting, batting, how to mark your quilt and more.  You'll need your machine and we'll provide the fabric, thread and batting.  $45 includes kit Sat, Feb 25 12:30-3:30.  Click here to register.


Sew Easy Grab Bag

Come make this easy bag with with two fabrics, some foam and great leather handles! A simple bag that you'll want to make more than one!  $25 includes a pair of handles and the pattern.  Tues, April 11, 10:30-12:30  Click here to register.  



Brown Bag Mystery

We gotten together with 20 or so other shops across the US to do a seven step mystery!  And there is a Facebook Group exclusivly for Brown Bagger Mystery Participants to add to the fun!  Our themed bags include five 1 yard cuts of fabric that will make a 42" x 55 1/2" quilt top (add the optional borders and you'll have a 62" x 72 1/2" quilt top!)  Clues start March 17th and will be available every two weeks and yes we can mail them!  Click here for more information.


Free Motion Quilting  - Level 2

We're working on dates with a longarm quilter who will show you how to do background fills on your longarm or regular sewing machine.   Stay tuned!

Machine Embroidery Club - Kimberbell Exclusive Designs!

A year's worth of Kimberbell exclusive designs to enjoy!  Come to our lecture/demo and get tips and hints to make some really cute and useful projects.  We'll meet once a month and learn a new technique with machine embroidery!  First club is $29, includes the project instructions and project embroidery design on a USB stick.  The following months you'll bring your QP Embroidery Club USB stick and the project instructions and design will be $5!

AccuQuilt Club - Pieces of Eight!

Love to quilt, but hate the drudgery of cutting? Now there’s a BETTER way. Accuquilt™’s die cut machine makes cutting accurate and up to 90% faster than conventional cutting, and with less strain on your hands. Accurate cutting means faster piecing because the pieces fit together perfectly. Faster cutting means less UFOs!

Eight shops around the country have gotten together and come up with a new club!  Each month we'll learn about a new die and a featured project.  Demonstrations, free pattern, featured die discounts, show and tell and a whole lot of fun!  Join us Saturdays at 10:30, Feb 18, Mar 18, Apr 22, May 13, June 17, July 22, Aug 12.  $45 for 8 months (if you signed up already, you're good through August!).  Click here for new registrations.

stash my six Club

A QP original!  Learn new techniques, a little bit of quilting history, new blocks, new block variations while making a quilt!  We'll meet once a month to make 6" blocks with no paper piecing or applique in any of the 73 blocks.  You'll make 6 blocks per month, two of each of three different blocks and play with color while stitching.  Join us on Friday, April 14th a 10:30 or Saturday, April 15 also at 10:30 to learn all about this new QP project.  Call the shop to let us know you'll attend.

When you sign up for a class, we need you to pay for that class in order to reserve your space. You may pay your class fee over the phone with a credit card, send in a check or come into the store. You will receive a supply list when you pay for your class. If you have required supplies at home, by all means, bring them. Otherwise, we would appreciate it if you would purchase the supplies from us. We offer a 10% discount on all listed class supplies.

All students must have their own purchased pattern or book required for the class. Please help us respect the designer's right to make a living by not copying patterns or books.

For the comfort & enjoyment of everyone, please do not wear perfume or bring children or guests to class.  Also, by overwhelming student demand, our classroom is a CELL PHONE FREE ZONE.  All cell phones must be off or set to vibrate and answered outside of the classroom.

Classes will be canceled by us one week prior to the first class if insufficient enrollment, please wait to buy your materials as there will be no refund for materials bought for a class that does not "go". Only registered students will be notified of cancelled or postponed classes.  Class fees will only be applied to another class or refunded ONLY if you cancel your class more than 7 days before the start of class.

Class fees with national teachers are not refundable. We will try to fill your space & if we do, a store credit will be given.
